Power off, unplug, and discharge your body's static electricity prior to opening the internal layout.

RAM Installation Instructions

1. Power down the laptop completely, disconnect the AC adapter, and remove any connected peripherals.
2. Place the device upside down on a clean work surface and remove all screws from the bottom chassis cover using a precision PH0 screwdriver.
3. Use a non-marring plastic pry tool to gently separate the bottom cover from the main chassis, starting from the edges, and set it aside.
4. Locate the battery connector on the motherboard and carefully pull the harness out to ensure the system is completely de-energized.
5. Identify the two SO-DIMM memory slots. If you are upgrading from 16 GB, remove the existing module(s) by pulling the side metal clips away from the module until it pops up at a 30-degree angle, then slide it out.
6. To reach the 32 GB maximum capacity, insert two matching 16 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM modules into the slots at a 30-degree angle, ensuring the notches are properly aligned with the keys in the slots.
7. Press the modules downward firmly until the side metal clips click securely into place, locking the RAM modules in position.
8. Reconnect the battery harness to the motherboard, align the bottom chassis cover, and secure it with the original screws.
9. Power on the laptop and verify the new 32 GB total memory capacity in the system BIOS or Windows Task Manager.

SSD Installation Instructions

1. Turn off the laptop, unplug the power source, and remove the bottom chassis cover as outlined in the RAM installation guide.
2. Disconnect the battery harness from the motherboard to avoid potential electrical shorts during the drive replacement.
3. Locate the M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD slot on the motherboard.
4. Use a precision screwdriver to remove the single securing screw at the end of the M.2 SSD.
5. Carefully pull the existing 512 GB SSD out of the slot and set it aside.
6. Align your new 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD with the slot, inserting it at a 30-degree angle until it is fully seated in the connector.
7. Press the new drive down until it aligns with the standoff, then reinstall the securing screw to lock the drive in place.
8. Reconnect the battery harness, snap the bottom panel back onto the chassis, and replace all perimeter screws.
9. Boot the machine and enter the BIOS to confirm the new storage capacity is detected correctly before proceeding with your operating system setup or data migration.
